Modern Vedic Astro

  • A Software Engineer by trade and a Vedic astrologer by hobby, I have read more than 900 horoscopes of people all over the world. My approach is very different from other astrologers who spend 10 to 15 minutes on a horoscope and provide some generic predictions and solutions to a specific problem. Readings provided at Modern Vedic Astro will be based on a three-phased approach.

  • First Phase: Study individual chart in detail.

  • Second Phase: I will ask a few questions to verify my reading and understanding of your horoscope.

  • Third phase: In some cases, I need to look at the horoscopes of spouses, partners, parents, and kids to provide better predictions. I will provide my final predictions and solutions to your problems based on further analysis.

  • Why do I need to see the horoscope of people besides you?

Well, I cannot predict if a husband and wife in a bad marriage should separate or not without evaluating both the horoscopes. Sometimes the birth horoscopes are favorable for their marriage, but both of them are going through bad dashas/transits simultaneously, hinting towards temporary issues. In this case, I would recommend they give the marriage some more time and work towards reconciling their differences. In other cases, the birth horoscopes of both husband and wife are orthogonal to each other in that case it is better to separate permanently and look for new beginnings.

Another example, A person wanting to know if they will have a biological kid through their marriage. The wife's horoscope can have planets supporting the birth of a child, but the husband's horoscope might not have planets supporting the birth of a biological kid. If I just looked at the wife's horoscope I might say 'Probability is high', but after looking at both of their horoscopes I might say, 'Probability is less or some delay is expected'.

One more example, a friend of mine desperately wanting a daughter as a second child wanted me to read his horoscope. After reading his horoscope I said '50-50 probability'. However, I then looked at his wife's and son's horoscope. They both almost had a guarantee of having a daughter and younger sister respectively. I immediately told him 'Very high probability of having a daughter'. Guess what, a year later he told me his wife was 4 months pregnant with a girl child. (I live in the US, where it is legal to know the gender of the child before birth)

Do I need to analyze multiple horoscopes when looking for health issues? No, a person's individual horoscope is enough.

As you can see different questions need different kinds of analysis.

  • I have been asked often 'Do you know how to make a Kundli(horoscope)?'

My answer is NO. I don't know the science and maths behind how to find exact degrees and signs at a specific time for a specific location. There are software applications available that will make a horoscope in a few seconds with much greater accuracy than humans. Also, in software development terms - 'Does an application developer need to know how a TCP or HTTP protocol is implemented?' NO. He only needs to understand how these protocols work in order to build a good application. Same way, I only need to know how to read horoscopes and not necessarily make them.
